SIPPS

The SIPPS (Systematic Instruction in Phonological Awareness, Phonics, and Sight Words) program, a solution for struggling readers, is a decoding curriculum that teaches the prerequisites for developing reading fluency and comprehension. The 2013 edition of SIPPS aligns its instruction with the Common Core State Standards Foundational Skills, meets the requirements of the Response to Intervention, and supports English Language Learners. It can serve as either an intervention program or as an initial decoding program.

The 2013 edition of SIPPS has new features to support your instruction, including:

  • A digital Teacher's Manual with embedded professional development
  • More assessment support, including a digital assessment tool for capturing and analyzing placement and mastery tests
  • A redesigned print Teacher's Manual with 2D barcodes to access animated routines and instructional video clips
  • A digital card app to help support your classroom instruction
