Making Meaning Leadership Support Kit
The Making Meaning Leadership Support Kit provides all the necessary resources for literacy coaches, staff developers, or other literacy leaders to conduct on-site training sessions across the school year. Each 45- to 90-minute session is designed to help teachers reflect on and deepen their practice as they learn to effectively plan, facilitate, and assess Making Meaning lessons. Additional tools provide support for planning and monitoring implementation, introducing the program to staff and parents, observing lessons, conducting grade-level meetings, and coaching individual teachers.
Includes Leadership Guide, Leader’s Calendar, Agendas for Staff Development Meetings, DVD of staff development video programs (142 minutes), CD-ROM of reproducible materials, three trade books used in sessions and a notepad of tear-off forms for monitoring implementation in year 2.
