The AfterSchool KidzScience™ program is made up of hands-on cooperative science activities that not only engage children and teach them how to investigate the way scientists do but also align with the National Science Education Standards.

Each theme-based series consists of four kits. Each kit includes all of the materials the leader needs to do the four activities with up to 20 children. Refill kits that contain replacement items for materials used up during sessions are available for each kit.

Each kit includes:

• Four full-color, sturdy session guides that provide step-by-step instructions, questions to stimulate children’s thinking, and extensive support for the leader (download a sample session)

• A handbook with helpful tips and science information for the leader

• Sixteen colorful question cards that spark interest and extend learning

• Materials for a group of up to 20 children to do all four sessions’ activities

• An AfterSchool KidzScience™ Video Clips DVD for leaders that provides tips for leading activities easily and effectively (also available online)

• A durable plastic tub for easy storage
