Vocabulary Packages
A yearlong vocabulary supplement to the Making Meaning comprehension program for grades K–6. Grade-level package for grades K–6 includes:
Teacher’s Manual (2 volumes for grades 4–6)
The Teacher’s Manual includes support and direction for a full year of vocabulary work to support the reading comprehension in Making Meaning lessons. It provides daily questions and activities to introduce words and motivate students.
Word Cards (grades K–6)
Word cards include one card for each vocabulary word introduced. The word card provides a visual reference for the word and how it is spelled. There are 104–162 word cards per grade, K–6.
Picture Cards (grades K–1)
Picture cards include one picture for each vocabulary word introduced. The picture provides context for the meaning of the word.
Blackline Masters Book (grades 4–6)
This book includes blackline masters for transparencies, assessment answer sheets, parent letters, and student word cards.
Pocket Chart
Each grade level includes a pocket chart for the effective use of the word and picture cards.

- Supplemental crossword puzzles and word lists: Crossword puzzles help students review words learned in the program, and the word lists provide students with additional practice in using independent word-learning strategies.
