A couple of weeks ago I wrote about a book you had to read—it was called Wonder. Now, I am going to share with you a video you have to watch. Tim Shriver shared it with us at the DSC National Conference and there was not a dry eye in the audience. Do me a favor—stop what you are doing for just five minutes and watch. It will forever change the way you look at the world and the people in your life.

Isabel McLean is back in schools — serving Albemarle County Public Schools in Virginia as a Lead Instructional Coach for Language Arts. Before accepting the position in Albemarle, Isabel was a national education consultant with the Developmental Studies Center, presenting keynotes, workshops, presentations, and professional development for teachers, literacy coaches, and administrators across the country.
Isabel holds her Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. Her doctorate examined gender and literacy acquisition in emergent readers and writers. She has presented at local, state, and national conferences and worked with schools across the country as an independent consultant. Isabel has authored several articles and been published in the National Reading Conference Yearbook. She also trained as a Reading Recovery teacher.
