DSC Programs Nominated for Prestigious AEP Awards!
We have some very exciting news to share. The Association of Educational Publishers (AEP) has honored DSC with nominations in multiple categories!
Our newest program, Words in Action, received nominations in two categories: the Golden Lamp Award: Whole Curriculum and the Distinguished Achievement Award—Whole Curriculum: Reading and Language Arts. Our AfterSchool KidzScience program (written by the Lawrence Hall of Science and published by DSC) was also honored in the Distinguished Achievement Awards—Supplemental Resources: Science category. The green science kits nominated are Food from Plants and Fresh Water.
Additionally, two of our annual catalog publications were nominated for the Beacon Award, which recognizes the best in educational marketing.
Last year, DSC was honored as the recipient of the Golden Lamp Award in Curriculum for the Being a Writer program.

About the AEP Awards
For more than four decades the AEP Awards have honored outstanding resources for teaching and learning. One of the largest and longest-running awards programs for educational products, the AEP Awards aim to:
- identify products that exemplify the highest standards of professional, quality educational content,
- give credit and recognition to the organizations who are leading the way in this field, and
- set benchmarks to which the rest of the industry can aspire.
AEP Award winners are honored in June at the Annual AEP Conference in Washington, DC. Beacon winners receive their awards during the Beacon Luncheon; Distinguished Achievement Award, Innovation, and Golden Lamp winners are honored at the black tie-optional AEP Awards Banquet & Gala.
