Lesson Study at DSC
This week I will be in Orlando, FL as part of an exciting lesson study project we are doing in partnership with the Orange County Public Schools. My colleagues and I are working to establish "Lab" schools throughout the district that can serve as a models for how to integrate lesson study into a school's professional learning community. We started this work last June and completed a round of lesson study with school teams earlier this fall.
This week we will be doing a second cycle of lesson study in two elementary schools and one high school. I will post updates on the work later this week. If you want to learn more about what lesson study is, you should visit the Lesson Study Group at Mills College. This is a fine place to learn about lesson study and get some valuable resources for your school lesson study teams.

Dear Peter- Just wanted to thank you again for allowing me to "tag along" on your trip to Orlando. I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to "process observe" you and your team in action as you work to implement Lesson Study in Orange County Public Schools and to fine tune the tools needed to make this happen in school divisions across the country. I was so impressed with the passion and commitment you all have for this work.
