Supplemental Writing Units, Grades 3–6

Since the development and publication of the Being a Writer program, we have identified mandated genre work in the major state standards and created new three-week genre units to meet state standards that are currently not met in the program. Grades 3–6 each have two new genre units. We have also developed a new test-preparation unit designed for teachers who are using the Being a Writer program at grades 3, 4, and 5. A CD-ROM of reproducible materials is included in each unit.
