Three-part Process for Stories
Although each story is different, leaders follow the same process to introduce it, do the related activities, and talk about the mathematics involved.
1. Read the Book
What happens
- The leader introduces the book to the kids and then reads the story, pausing at key points to discuss the math or vocabulary words.

2. Do an Activity
What happens
- The kids discuss the story and do a related math activity.

3. Talk About It
What happens
- After the group completes the activity, they discuss the math they learned and how they worked together.
